Terms Corruption in Islam
1. Ghulûl
Ghulûl is isim masdar ghalla word, yaghullu, ghallan, ghullan wa, wa ghulûlan (Ibn Manzur, Lisânul 'Arab) are lexically interpreted akhadza al-syai'a dassahu wa fi fi khufyatin matâ'thî (taking something by stealth and incorporate it into their wealth) (M. Rawwas, Mu'jam lughat al-fuqaha) and khana (treacherous or cheating).
Ghulul Prophet said in the hadith explains the history of Adi ibn Amirah al-Kindi, the Holy Prophet said, "Whoever among you that we assign to a job (business), and then he hid from us a needle or more, then it is ghulûl (treasure corruption) that he will bring the Day of Resurrection. "
Then there was a black man from the Ansar stood facing the Prophet and said, "O Messenger of Allah, do you assign copotlah my position." Of the Prophet asked, "What the hell?" He replied, "I hear you say, so and so," he Saw also said, "I say now, that if any of you that we assign to a job (business), let him bring (all results), a little or a lot. Then, what is given to him, then he should take it (halal). As for what is forbidden, then it should not be. '"(Narrated by Muslim)
In the history of Buraidah, the Prophet also emphasized ghulûl meaning, he said, "Whoever we were assigned to a job, then we set the remuneration (salary) for him, so what he took out of it is a treasure ghulûl (corruption)." (Narrated by Abu Daud)
2. Gifts / Gratuities
The word gift comes from the Arabic, hadiyyah, which means gift. In Big Indonesian Dictionary (KBBI), a gift is a gift (mementos, awards, honors), reward (for winning a race), trophy (tt separation). Gifts can also be called a grant.
Basically prize is permitted, even encouraged to give each other gifts. A delivery with the aim of expecting the pleasure of Allah Almighty to strengthen ties or establish Islamic ukhuwah. The Prophet SAW said, "Mutual hadiahlah you, surely you are in love." (Narrated by Imam Malik)
As if giving gifts to specific interests, such as giving a gift to someone who has a position, power or authority, then the gift is prohibited. Gifts like these are also called gratuity, money gifts to employees beyond salary has been determined. Prophet forbade kind gifts (gratuities) like this, he said, "A gift for workers is ghulul (corruption)." (Narrated by Ahmad)
Imam Shafi'i (d. 820 AD), in his book Al-Umm, stated that if a resident of the community to give a gift to an official, then when the gift was intended to acquire-through or from official-a right, it is haram top officials concerned to accept the gift.
3. Risywah
Another term is also a form of corruption is risywah, which comes from the word Rasya, yarsyu, rasywan rasywah wa wa wa risywah rusywah thus giving bribes or kickbacks to him.
The person called al-rusyi bribing the people who give something to someone who can help him on the basis of falsehood. As for those who take or receive gifts was called al-murtasyi. While the person who is the intermediary between the giver and the recipient with embellished on one side and on the other hand reduces the so-called al-ra'isy.
Umar defines that risywah is something given / delivered by a person to the person who has the power (position, authority) that he gives to the giver something that is not right). Risywah (bribe) an act which is prohibited by the Qur'an, Sunnah and Ijma 'Ulama. The ban applies to the giving, receiving and being a liaison between the two.
In the Qur'an, Allah says, "And do not some of you take some of the other treasures of you by way of vanity, and (do not) you take (the affairs of) the treasure to the judge, so that you can take part of the property everyone else is (the doing) of sin, but ye know. "(Al-Baqarah [2]: 188)
4. Suht
Suht a language derived from the verb sahata yashatu suhtan wa suhutan which means acquiring unlawful property. Ibn Manzur explained the meaning suht, ie all the haram. Suht also mean something that is forbidden, which is not kosher done because it will destroy or eliminate blessing.
Bukhari quotes Ibn Sirin that suht is risywah (bribery) in the matter of law or policy. Malik also narrates that the Jews of Khaibar never be bribed Abdullah bin Rawahah Allah be pleased with some jewelry to give some relief or benefit to them, but Ibn Rawahah said, "Whatever you handed of bribery, then it is suht (which haram) and we will not eat it. "
5. Khana
Khana means ghadara (treacherous, dishonest), naqadha, khâlafa (breaking and damaging). Ar-Raqib al-Isfahani, an Arabic expert, found treasonous is not the attitude or the appointment of a mandate entrusted to it. Perfidy is not keeping mandate. Therefore, Allah hates and prohibits treason. Allah says, "O you who believe, do not betray Allah and the Messenger (Muhammad), and (also) do not be betrayed mandates entrusted to you, and ye know." (Surat al-Anfal: 27)
Treacherous to convey the same sense of corruption, the betrayal of trust and the oath of office. Prophet berbai'at describe people who are not based on truth and piety, he said, "There are three groups of people that Allah would not speak to them on the Day of Judgment and will not cleanse (sin or error) them and for them a painful punishment firstly, those who have excess water on the road but it impedes Ibnu Sabil (the walker, traveler) to get it. "(Narrated by Bukhari)
6. Sariqah
Sariqah derived from the word saraqa yasriqu sarqan wa sariqah which lexically meaningful akhadza m lighairi khufyatan, which means stealing. Sariqah also significantly nahab (rob), syahshan (kidnapping), syaian qalîlan (stealing small items, pilfer), and muallafan (copying, plagiarism).
The criminals have stolen state assets earmarked for the welfare of the people, whereas in Islam believes that people who commit burglary open a believer, because a believer, he is not likely to engage in corruption or theft, as the words of the Holy Prophet, "Thieves will not steal when he was in a state of faith. "(Narrated by Bukhari)
